The Adams Cup

This trophy was established by the Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club in 1993 in honor of past Post Captain and Governor, Paul W. Adams, in recognition of his assistance to GKSS in The Swedish Challenges in 1977 and 1980 for the America’s Cup and his interest in helping young Swedish sailors.  The trophy is an antique cup in silver, originally for races in Folk Boats.

The trophy is awarded by the Race Committee of the host station to the helmsman of the overall winning boat in races of The Atlantic Round Regatta.  The trophy is a perpetual trophy, but “keeper” cups have been donated for presentation to the winning helmsman.
