Annual Meeting = The first Friday every December preceding the annual Christmas gala dinner dance, usually at the New York Yacht Club in New York City. 

Five Club Regatta = Annual regatta for juniors.  

Home Clubs = GKSS, KDY, KNS, KSSS, and NJK 

GKSS = Göteborgs Kungliga Segelsällskap (Royal Gothenburg Yacht Club)

KDY = Kongelig Dansk Yachtklub (Royal Danish Yacht Club)

KNS = Kongelig Norsk Seilforening (Royal Norwegian Yacht Club)

KSSS = Kungliga Svenska Segel Sällskapet (Royal Swedish Yacht Club)

NJK = Nyländska Jaktklubben [Finland]

Junior Exchange Program = Arrangements for sending Junior members of The NAS or Home Clubs to stay with host families for about two weeks in America and in Scandinavia.

The NAS = The North American Station of the Royal Scandinavian Yacht Clubs and Nyländska Jaktklubben, also called “The North American Station.”

The NAS Cruise = Every third summer in Scandinavia, usually for two weeks.

Spring Meeting = In recent years the first Saturday every June preceding the annual Family Clambake on Shippan Point in Stamford, CT. TAR = The Atlantic Round; annual regatta for adults from the Home Clubs and The NAS
